Summary
The 1/2- and 3/2-isospin contributions of the (\(\mathcal{N}\pi \)) system produced in the\(\pi ^ + p \to \pi (\mathcal{N}\pi )\) reaction at 11.7 GeV/c have been separated. TheI = 1/2 cross-section, weakly dependent on the energy, is interpreted in terms of pomeron exchange. The dependence on LPS, the differential cross-sections and (\(\mathcal{N}\pi \)) mass spectra of theI = 1/2, 3/2 contributions are investigated. The results support the conclusion that theI = 1/2 amplitude is dominated by the diffractive dissociation of the proton; a simple factorization test of the amplitude is satisfactorily satisfied at 11.7 GeV/c.

Mediante invarianza di spin isotopico sono stati separati i contributiI = 1/2 eI = 3/2 relativi al sistema (\(\mathcal{N}\pi \)) prodotto nella reazione\(\pi ^ + p \to \pi (\mathcal{N}\pi )\) a 11.7 GeV/c. La sezione d’urtoI = 1/2 che si mostra poco dipendente dall’energia della particella incidente è interpretata in termini di scambio di pomerone. Dei due contributi di isospin sono stati inoltre investigati la dipendenza dallo spazio fasi longitudinale, le sezioni d’urto differenziali e gli spettri di massa (\(\mathcal{N}\pi \)).
