An evolution model for laser-produced plasma. Theory and experiment

Summary

An analitical model concerning the temporal evolution of the laser-produced plasma in gas, for long times compared to laser pulse duration, is given. In some time intervals, simultaneous solution of the motion and of the heat equations is not required. Derivation of the value of some parameters can be made independently of the others. Some experimental results obtained in He are compared with theoretical values.
