Summary
In a recent paper it has been shown that the gravitational and electromagnetic fields can be combined into a unified gauge theory invariant under the groupSL 2,C ⊗U 1. In this article we extend this generalization by allowing for the presence of magnetic-monopole fields resulting in a theory invariant under the gauge groupSL 2,C ⊗U 1⊗U 1.

In un recente lavoro si è mostrato che i campi gravitazionali ed elettromagnetici possono essere combinati in una teoria di gauge unificata invariante rispetto al gruppoSL 2,C ⊗U 1. In questo articolo si estende questa generalizzazione tenendo anche conto della presenza di campi di monopoli magnetici risultanti in una teoria invariante rispetto al gruppo di gaugeSL 2,C ⊗U 1⊗U 1.
