Summary
A generalization of Stokes formula is given for the resistive force acting on a sphere executing transverse oscillations in a compressible liquid. The results are relevant to recent experiment for measuring the viscosity of liquids, especially near the critical point.

Si espone una generalizzazione della formula di Stokes per la forza resistente agente su un cilindro che esegue oscillazioni trasversali in un liquido compressibile. I risultati hanno particolare rilievo in vista di recenti esperimenti per le misure di viscosità dei liquidi, specialmente in vicinanza del punto critico.

Приводится обобщение формулы Стокса для силы сопротивления, действующей насферу в сжимаемой жидкости. Полученные результаты согласуются с недавним экспериментом по измерению вязкости жидкостей, особенно вблизи критической точки.
