Summary
A simple mathematical model is proposed for representing disordered structures, to which the continuous random network scheme can be applied, tipically amorphous Si and Ge. Although the model seems to be more rough than those already existing in the literature it presents the advantage that it does not require either any physical construction of the model or a lot of computing time. An extrapolation of the scheme to «model» liquid-metal structures is presented, which gives encouraging results.
