Temperature effects in the dynamics of a centre with nearly degenerate levels and localized phase transition

Summary

The dynamics of a centre with two close electronic levels, mixed by the active quasi-molecular vibration mode, at the thermal equilibrium distribution of the two electrons of the system is considered. It is shown that here the local structural phase transition is possible. At the corresponding temperature the soft resonance present in the system condenses at zero frequency and width.

Si considera la dinamica di un centro con due livelli elettronici chiusi, mescolati dal modo di vibrazione attivo quasi molecolare, alla distribuzione di equilibrio termico dei due elettroni del sistema. Si mostra che qui la transizione di fase locale strutturale è possibile. Alla temperatura corrispondente la risonanza molle presente nel sistema condensa a frequenza e ampiezza nulle.

Рассмотрена динамика центра с двумя близкими электронными уровнями, смешиваемыми активным квазимолекулярным колебанием, в условиях термически равновесного распределения двух электронов системы. Показано, что здесь может иметь место локальный структурный фазовый переход, при температуре которого имеющийся в системе мягкий резонанс конденсируется при нулевых частоте и ширине.
