Lattice dynamics of rare-earth monopnictides

Summary

The phonon dispersion curves for the antimonides of niobium and cerium have been analysed in terms of a three-body force rigid-ion model formulated on the basis of the Lundqvist model. The agreement achieved between theoretical and experimental results is reasonably good. This agreement is expected to improve by the inclusion of electronic polarization and free-charge-carrier contribution.

Si sono analizzate le curve di dispersione fononiche per gli antimonidi del niobio e del cerio, secondo il modello a ione rigido con forza a tre corpi sulla base del modello di Lundqvist. L’accordo tra risultati teorici e sperimentali è ragionevolmente buono. Ci si aspetta che questo accordo migliori con l’inclusione della polarizzazione elettronica e del contributo dei portatori di carica liberi.

Анализируются кривые дисперсии фононов антимонидов необия и церия в терминах модели трехмерного жесткого иона, сформулированной на основе модели Лундквиста.
