Miryam L. Ochoa (Columbia) Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the Universidad Externado of Colombia and currently President of the Colombian Association of Education Faculties (ASCOFADE). She has worked as an international consultant in education for various international and lending organizations (OAS, IDB, World Bank, UNESCO, UNICEF and W.K. Kellogg, among others). In her research and publications she has dealt mainly with the themes of teacher training, assessment, qualifications, academic management and the new information technologies.

Betty Monroy Henao (Colombia) Professor and researcher at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the Universidad Externado of Colombia and of the Informatics Centre in the Technology Department of the National Teacher-Training University. In her teaching and research she has concentrated on cognitive development, values, civic education, semantic networks, and the development of methods for the design of hypertexts, on all of which she has published many articles in specialist reviews.
