Muju Zhu Director-General, Department of Basic Education, Ministry of Education. B.A., Beijing Normal University and visiting scholar, University of Hiroshima, Japan. She is at present involved in policy studies on kindergartens and linkages with primary school, the implementation of the primary education curriculum, and research on the curriculum and teacher training. She has written several publications on reading, writing, arithmetic and social adaptability for children in kindergartens and primary schools.
