A study of intermediate nuclear resonances by nonlocal separable potentials

Summary

It is well known that if one considers the possible excitation of the internal degrees of freedom of the target in the description of a nucleon-nucleus scattering process, some typical effects of the coupling between channels, like threshold effects and compound resonances, are found. Different kinds of interactions may be employed in this context provided that they possess tensorial properties able to couple the elastic and inelastic channels together. In this context we examine here the use of nonlocal separable potentials, whose remarkable increasing importance in the two- and three-body description of nuclear reactions is well known. The model is outlined in its general form, and then the potential, compound and quasi-compound resonances are analysed under some restrictive conditions. A numerical example is given as a particular application.

Si consideri un’interazione nucleone-nucleo descritta nell’ambito di una teoria a due corpi uno dei quali dotato però di struttura interna. È noto che la possibilità di eccitazione reale o virtuale dei gradi di libertà interni del bersaglio dà luogo ad effetti speciali quali gli effetti di soglia e le risonanze composte. Per la descrizione di questi effetti, diversi tipi di interazioni sono possibili in linea di principio, purché dotate di proprietà tensoriali in grado di effettuare gli accoppiamenti. Il presente lavoro si colloca in questa problematica, e considera in tale ambito l’uso di potenziali non locali separabili, dipendenti dallo stato di nucleo bersaglio. È noto l’interesse notevole e sempre crescente che la letteratura corrente dedica a questo tipo di interazioni, soprattutto in vista del loro impiego in serie a tre ed a più corpi. Dopo una presentazione del modello nei suoi aspetti generali, si introducono alcune ipotesi restrittive che rendono possibile l’analisi dettagliata delle risonanze composte e quasi composte. Un esempio numerico illustrativo ma senza pretese di contenuto fenomenologico chiude il lavoro.

Хорощо иэвестно, что если рассмотреть воэможное воэбуждение внутренних степеней свободы мищени при описании процесса рассеяния нуклонов на ядрах, то обнаруживаются некоторые типичные зффекты свяэи между каналами, аналогичные пороговым зффектам и составным реэонансам. Раэличные типы вэаимодействий могут быть испольэованы в зтом контексте, при условии, что они обладают тенэорными свойствами, поэволяюшими свяэать вместе упругие и неупругие каналы. В свяэи с зтим мы рассматриваем эдесь испольэование нелокальных раэделяемых потенциалов, воэрастаюшая эначимость которых при двух- и трех-частичном описании ядерных реакций является хорощо иэвестной. Эта модель обрисовывается в обших чертах, а эатем при некоторых ограничительных условиях аналиэируются потенциальный, составной и кваэи-составной реэонансы. Как иллюстрация приводится численный пример.
