Summary
Static charged scalar meson theory with broken charge symmetry is solved in the one-meson approximation. It is argued that spontaneous symmetry breakdown does not appear possible in this model with these approximations. Solutions are given for the scattering amplitude and also the isobar mass difference in terms of the n-p mass difference, without a perturbation expansion in the symmetry-breaking parameters.

Si risolve, nell’approssimazione di un mesone, la teoria del mesone scalare carico statico con simmetria di carica infranta. Si argomenta che una rottura spontanea della simmetria non sembra possible in questo modello con queste approssimazioni. Si danno le soluzioni per l’ampiezza di scattering ed anche la differenza di massa dell’isobaro in funzione della differenza di massa n-p, senza sviluppo perturbativo nei parametri che infrangono la simmetria.
