Summary
The results of a systematic study on the quenching of muon depolarization as a function of a variable magnetic field parallel to the original muon polarization are reported. The data obtained are relative to values of the magnetic field which range from 0 to 4 kG, and are compared with predictions of the various muonium formation theories.

Vengono riportati i risultati di uno studio sistematico sul « quenching » della depolarizzazione dei muoni in funzione di un campo magnetico variabile applicato lungo la direzione di polarizzazione. I dati ottenuti sono relativi a valori del campo magnetico, che vanno da 0 a 4 kG e sono confrontati con le varie teorie di formazione del muonio.
