Summary
In order to show that inversions at fixedl and at fixed energy are not two disconnected fields of scattering theory, we derive as examples two general results valid in both cases. Moreover, in these two cases the results hold for the Gel’fand-Levitan type of inversion (reconstruction of the regular solution at the origin) as well as for the Marchenko type (reconstruction of the Jost solutions). Furthermore the break-downs of these theories are linked to similar pathological physical features: the presence of ghosts in thek or thel complex planes.
