Summary
We point out that the structure of the 3×3 quark mixing matrixV is characterized by its two off-diagonal asymmetries: one about theV 11–V 22–V 33 axis () and the other about theV 13−V 22−V 31 axis (). By use of current experimental data, we obtain∼10−5−10−4 and⩾400. We find a definite hierarchy for the magnitudes of quark mixings: |V 33|>|V 11|>|V 22|≫|V 12|>|V 21|≫≫|V 23|>|V 32|≫|V 31|>|V 13|>0. The useful relations between the off-diagonal asymmetries and the unitarity triangles ofV are also explored.
