Exotic states in a tin isotope

Summary

We study the pion content of the ground state and of the low-lying states of116Sn in a phenomenological model based on the static approximation for the pion-nucleon interaction. If we make reasonable assumptions, the probability of having one pion in the ground state is less than 5%. We obtain high-energy states which may be described as pion-nucleus bound states.
