πp interactions at 4.0 GeV/c

Summary

A bubble chamber investigation of πp interactions has been carried out at a momentum of 4 GeV/c. Analysis is limited to 3 828 events with two charged secondaries. Cross-sections, angular distributions and momentum distributions for the different reactions are presented. Four-momentum transfer distributions for elastic scattering and single-pion production are discussed. The production of pion resonant states is investigated.

Si è eseguito uno studio con la camera a bolle delle interazioni πp di impulso di 4 GeV/c. Lo studio è limitato a 3 828 eventi con due secondari carichi. Si dànno le sezioni d’urto, le distribuzioni angolari e le distribuzioni dell’impulso per le differenti reazioni. Si discutono le distribuzioni del trasferimento del quadrimomento per lo scattering elastico e la produzione di pioni singoli. Si studia la produzione di stati pionici risonanti.
