Summary
In this work we have determined the transverse relaxation timesT 2* of the pure paradichlorobenzene and of the latter in the presence of the extraneous molecules, whose resonance frequency for two of these is very close to that of the pure substance Δν=−0.483 MHz, Δν=+0.567 MHz, and a substance with a Δν=+235.767 MHz large, but positive, while other researchers have been using substances with Δν large but negative, as a function of the percentage of extraneous substance in the pure paradichlorobenzene. Moreover our measurements have allowed us to calculate the numberN of molecules of the lattice, which do not enter into resonance because of the presene of only one perturbing center. The same numberN has been obtained determining the decrease of the intensity of the signal while increasing the percentage of the impurity molecular concentration. The obtained values are comparable with those obtained by other authors.
