Summary
The decay rate of a μ− meson from theK-shell of a light nucleus is evaluated as a function of the momentum of the produced electron and of the atomic number, taking into account the main electrostatic corrections on the usual, plane wave eigenfunctions of the electron, by a Born-like approximation. Such corrections change appreciably the decay rate and the shape of the spectrum (mainly, its lowest part) of the emitted electrons.
