Correlated hyperspherical-harmonic calculations for three- and four-body systems

Summary

Two different correlated hyperspherical-harmonic expansions are applied to solve the Schrödinger equation for systems withA=3,4 nucleons interacting via central state-dependent potentials. Accurate results are obtained for the ground state of the systems and they are presented for a number of interparticle potentials. Correlations not included in the potential basis have negligible effects forA=3 but they give important contributions to the structure of larger systems.
