Elastic electron scattering on3He (3H) in impulse approximation

Summary

Elastic electron scattering on3He (3H) has been evaluated in impulse approximation based on Faddeev solutions for the Bonn A and Bonn BNN potentials. Effort is put into numerical accuracy. The formalism in momentum space is laid out in some detail and explicit expressions for form factors adopted to the partial-wave projected three-nucleon wave function are given. Ambiguities for the form factors and for the amount of current nonconservation resulting from noncovariance are illustrated and emphasized. It is shown that even in impulse approximation the nuclear current is conserved when sandwiched between 3N bound states.
