Summary
We present a study of the\(\bar p\)p →\(\bar p\)p2π+2π− reaction at 5.7 GeV/c for which we have obtained a cross-section of (0.18 ± 0.05) mb. Abundant Δ and\(\bar \Delta \) production was observed. A rough estimate of the rate for double-resonance production,i.e. \(\bar p\)p →\(\bar \Delta \) −−Δ++π+π−, is also given. The general features of the\(\bar p\)p →\(\bar p\)p2π+2π− reaction are interpreted by means of a multiperipheral Regge model slightly modified to take into account the strong Δ and\(\bar \Delta \) production.

Si presenta uno studio della reazione\(\bar p\)p →\(\bar p\)p2π+2π− a 5.7 GeV/c, per la quale si è ottenuta una sezione d’urto di (0.18 ± 0.05) mb. Si è osservata abbondante produzione di Δ e\(\bar \Delta \). Si dà anche una grossolana valutazione della produzione di risonanze doppie, cioè\(\bar p\)p →\(\bar \Delta \) −− Δ++π+π−. Si interpretano le caratteristiche generali della reazione\(\bar p\)p → →\(\bar p\)p2π+2π− per mezzo di un modello di Regge multiperiferico, leggermente modificato per tenere conto della forte produzione di Δ e\(\bar \Delta \).

Исследуется реакция\(\bar p\)p →\(\bar p\)p2π+2π− при 5.7 ГзВ/с, для которой мы получили поперечное сечение, равное (0.18±0.05)мб. Наблюдалось обильное рождение Δ и\(\bar \Delta \). Также приводится грубая оценка интенсивности рождения двойного реэонанса, т.е.\(\bar p\)p →\(\bar \Delta \)Δ++π+→−. Обшие свойства реакции\(\bar p\)p →\(\bar p\)p2π+2π− интерпретируются с помошью мульти-периферическ ой модели Редже, слегка модифицированной эа счет учета сильного рождения Δ и\(\bar \Delta \).
