Thomas precession and classical theories of spinning particles

Summary

Various theories of spinning particles will be connected through general principles. It is shown that the Thomas factor appears only in theories in which the spin is a constant of the motion for a free particle.

Le varie teorie sulle particelle aventi spin vengono poste in connessione tramite principi generali. Si mostra che il fattore di Thomas compare solo in quelle teorie in cui lo spin è una costante del moto della particella libera.
