Summary
A phenomenological approach to the electrodisintegration of the deuteron is proposed, which is based on the analyticity and unitarity of the transition matrix elements. While, the present paper is mainly concerned with experiments involving onlys waves, it is shown how the approach can be extended to higher waves and to the region of the Hofstadter experiment.
