Influence of core-polarized states in the inhibition of analogue-antianalogueM1 transitions in59,61Cu

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

It was found that the observedM1 transitions fromg 9/2 andd 5/2 analogue resonances in59Cu andg 9/2 analogue resonance in61Cu to their respective antianalogue state are at variance with theM1 strengths predicted by the single-particle shell model. An attempt has been made in this paper to explain the observed discrepancies between the predictedM1 strengths and measuredM1 strengths in terms of core-polarized states.
