Physics in high magnetic fields

Summary

The nowadays employed technologies for obtaining high magnetic fields (up to 30 T in DC fields, above 200 T in pulsed fields) are briefly discussed. In the area of condensed-matter physics examples of fundamental research in high magnetic fields are given.
