The isgur-wise function from charmed decays of B-mesons

Summary

The semi-leptonic and two-body decays of B-meson with one charmed final state are described in the framework of Isgur and Wise theory by assumingξ(w ²)=1+bw ²+cw ⁴ and by taking for D and D* the physical masses rather than a common valuem _c. With respect to the parametrization already proposed, pole or exponential, we get better predictions for the nonleptonic decays withb=0.95± ±0.11 andc=0.46±0.12. By releasing the theoretical requirementξ(0)=1 we findξ(w ²)=(0.89±0.12)+(0.62±0.37)w ²+(0.25±0.27)w ⁴ withξ(0) smaller by one standard deviation from the theoretical value.
