Differentials of magnetic-charge currents and consequent revision of electric-charge quantization rule

Summary

The Dirac-Schwinger quantization condition of the electric charge with respect to the magnetic monopole charge is criticized in the context of the extension of electrodynamics presented by the author (Nuovo Cimento A,99, 211 (1988)). For ag′-quark pair bound by subcritical Coulomb-like force, the magnetic current sustains through its differential an electric charge density leading in various approximations to a lower valueg∼|g′|−1 of the total charge. This was also examined using Borel summability (Nuovo Cimento A,100, 477 (1988)).

Si critica la condizione di quantizzazione di Dirac-Schwinger della carica elettrica rispetto alla carica del monopolo magnetico nel contesto dell’estensione dell’elettrodinamica presentata dall’autore (Nuovo Cimento A,99 211 (1988)). Per un paio di quarkg′ legati da una forza di tipo Coulomb subcritica, la corrente magnetica sostiene attraverso il suo differenziale una densità di carica elettrica che porta in varie approssimazioni ad un valore inferioreg ∼ |g′|−1 della carica totale. Ciò è stato anche esaminato usando la sommabilità di Borel (Nuovo Cimento A,100, 477 (1988)).
