A reflection model for heavy-ion scattering

Summary

A new model for heavy-ion elastic scattering at energies around the Coulomb barrier is presented. The model assumes that the reflection at the nuclear surface is the dominant scattering mechanism for the particles which hit the region of the nuclear interaction, and that the classical mechanics rules can be applied to estimate the cross-section. The predictions of the model are compared with a few experimental data and the radius of the reflecting region and the reflection properties of the nuclear surface are obtained.

Si presenta un nuovo modello per la diffusione elastica di nuclei pesanti ad energie prossime alla barriera coulombiana. Il modello assume che la riflessione alla superficie del nucleo sia il meccanismo di diffusione dominante per le particelle che colpiscono la regione dell’interazione nucleare e che le regole della meccanica classica possano essere applicate per la stima della sezione d’urto. Le previsioni del modello sono confrontate con alcuni risultati sperimentali ottenendo informazioni sul raggio e sulle proprietà riflessive della superficie nucleare.

Предлагается новая модель для упругого рассеяния тяжелых ионов при знергиях вблиэи кулоновского барьера. Предложенная модель предполагает, что отражение на ядерной поверхности прелставляет доминируюший механиэм рассеяния для частиц, которые попадают в область ядерного вэаимодействия, и что правила классической механики могут быть испольэованы для оценки поперечного сечения. Предскаэания зтой модели сравниваются с зкспериментальными данными. Получаются радиус области отражения и отражаюшие свойства ядерной поверхности.
