Summary
In the framework of a nuclear shell model plus a small residual interaction, perturbative corrections to the harmonic oscillator sum rules are deduced up to the second order. The formalism developed is applied to the case of photonuclear reactions against the nucleus4He. A two-body separable residual interaction is assumed and the dipole momentsσ p are numerically evaluated forp=0, −1, −2 and compared with experimental results. The most important corrections to the h.o. sum rules are of the first order and are due to the monopole-monopole part of the residual interaction. The average energy forE1 transitions is increased of about 10 MeV.
