Phase-shift analysis in pion-4He elastic scattering

Summary

An energy-independent phase-shift analysis (PSA) of the elastic scattering of pions on4He, in the energy range (60÷260) MeV has been performed. All possible solutions, arising from the phase-shift analysis ambiguity, have been analysed. Particular care has been taken in the choice of the physical solution. The calculated phase shifts have been compared with the results of the energy-dependent phase-shift analysis (EDPSA) and with the optical-model predictions.

È stata fatta un’analisi in fase indipendente dall’energia (PSA) della diffusione di pioni da4He, nell’intervallo energetico (60 ÷ 260) MeV. Tutte le soluzioni possibili, derivanti dall’ambiguità dell’analisi in fase, sono state analizzate. Particolare attenzione è stata posta nella scelta delle soluzioni con significato fisico. I risultati sono confrontati con quelli di un’analisi in fase dipendente dall’energia (EDPSA) e con le previsioni del modello ottico.

Проводится аналиэ не эависяших от знергии фаэовых сдвигов упругого рассеяния пионов на4He в области знергий (60÷260) МзВ. Аналиэируются все воэможные рещения, воэникаюшие иэ-эа неопределенности фаэового аналиэа. Особое внимание уделяется выбору фиэического рещения. Вычисленные фаэовые сдвиги сравниваются с реэультатами аналиэа эависяших от знергии фаэовых сдвигов и с предскаэаниями оптической модели.

  17. The same method has been used in the EDPSA and we obtained for the pion radius 〈r 21/2=(0.83±0.17) fm. The error is smaller because in this calculation also the experimental data of ref. (2,4,7) have been taken into account.
