Implications of higgs bosons on second-class currents in neutrino reactions

Il Nuovo Cimento A (1971-1996)

Summary

The induced pseudotensor term, denoted as second-class current (SCC), and Higgs boson exchange both give rise to asymmetries in the final lepton, respectively, baryon polarization in quasi-elastic (ν,N) scattering processes. This unique connecting link of the two different SCC sources encourages us now to describe these effects initiated via Higgs particles in a gauge-invariant manner. In this context, the influence of such SCC on (ν,N) scattering and weak-decay processes will be discussed.
