Group-theoretical and four-momentum variables in jet decay models

Summary

Sequential-decay models for particle production have been described in the literature by using group-theoretical and four-momentum variables. We exhibit the physical equivalence of these formulations and show that the harmonic analysis over the complex Euclidean groupE2,c, which is used to partially diagonalize the master equations of the models, is nothing but the usual Fourier transform with respect to the transverse momentum in aP reference frame.
