A finite-diagram theory for yang-mills fields

II: High-energy amplitudes in the sixth order

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1971-1996)

Summary

The high-energy sixth-order amplitudes for elastic scatterings are calculated in the limits → ∞ witht fixed. The amplitude ℳ behaves ass lns, multiplied by a function oft, in the finite-diagram theory. In particular, the ratio Re ℳ/Im ℳ remains finite ass → ∞, in each perturbation order for fermion-fermion, fermion-boson and boson-boson scatterings. These results are basically different from those in the corresponding divergent field theory and are in harmony with experiments of hadron collision at high energies.
