On the relationship between statistical mass spectrum andS-matrix eigenphases

Summary

We have two separate objects to count; on one side the masses entering into the statistical-mechanics mass spectrum, on the other side the eigenvalues of theS-matrix, which under certain circumstances can be approximated by resonances. In this paper we discuss the connection existing between these two types of counting.

Abbiamo due cose diverse da contare; da una parte le masse che compaiono nello spettro di massa statistico, dall’altra gli autovalori della matriceS che in certe circostanze si possono approssimare con risonanze. In questo lavoro si discute la connessione esistente fra questi due tipi di conteggi.

С одной стороны — массы, входяшие в спектр масс статистической механики, а с другой стороны — собственные эначенияS-матрицы, которые при определенных условиях могут быть аппроксимированы как реэонансы.
