Seniority in projection operator formalism

Summary

It is shown that the concept of seniority can be introduced in projection operator formalism through the use of the operatorQ, which has been defined by de-Shalit and Talmi. The usefulness of seniority concept in projection operator formalism is discussed. An example of four nucleons inj=3/2 configuration is given for illustrative purposes.
