Summary
The paper suggests two possible explanations of the observed decrease in the average number density of galaxies with increasing distancer from the observer. Both are based on the fact that the invariant volume of space around and within a straight cosmic-string bundle increases more slowly withr than in Minkowski space.

L’articolo suggerisce due possibili spiegazioni del decremento osservato nella densità numerica media di galassie al crescere della distanzar dall’osservatore. Entrambe si basano sul fatto che il volume invariante di spazio intorno e all’interno di un fascio di stringhe cosmiche rettilinee cresce conr piú lentamente che nello spazio di Minkowski.
