Summation methods for the perturbation series of the generalized anharmonic oscillator

Summary

We consider the generalized anharmonic oscillatorp ² +x ² +βx ⁸. This model is interesting because the coefficients of the perturbation expansions for the energy eigenvalues diverge faster than (2n) !. Evidence is found against the convergence of the Padé approximants. The approximation method based on the Borel summability exhibits the same features found for theβx ⁴-perturbation. The numerical analysis suggests also the introduction of another summation method, whose approximants have the useful monotonicity properties of the Padé ones.

Si considera l’oscillatore anarmonico generalizzatop ² +x ² +βx ³. Il modello è interessante poiché i coefficienti dello sviluppo perturbativo degli autovalori dell’energia divergono più rapidamente di (2n)!. Si trova un’indicazione contro la convergenza degli approssimanti di Padé. Il metodo di approssimazione basato sulla sommazione di Borel ha le stesse caratteristiche già trovate per la perturbazioneβx ⁴. L’analisi numerica suggerisoe inoltre l’introduzione di un nuovo metodo di sommazione, i cui approssimanti godono delle utili proprietà di monotonicità di quelli di Padé.

Мы рассматриваем обобщенный ангармонический осцилляторp ²+ +x^2> +βx⁸. Эта модель интересна тем, что коэффициенты разложений теории возмущений для собственных значений энергии расходятся быстрее, чем (2n)!. Обнаружено подтверждение против сходимости Падэ приближений. Приближенный метод, основанный на суммируемости Бореля, обнаруживает те же особенности, которые были получены для возмущенияβx ⁴. Численный анализ предполагает также введение другого метода суммирования, приближенные выражения которого имеют полезные свойства монотонности, характерные для Падэ приближений.
