Negative results concerning more than one singular speed in special relativity

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento B (1971-1996)

Summary

It is shown that the group hypothesis is not compatible with the existence of transformations containing more than one singularity. The relevance of the first parameter group is stressed.

But these transformations are indesirable, in our context, since they transform events of finite co-ordinates into other events with infinite co-ordinates. SeeV.
