Lorentz transform of the work done by a uniform pressure

Summary

It is proposed to evaluate the work Δτ done by the pressure forces in a fluid during reversible compression. An attempt is made to find the relationship existing between the expression of the work done in a reference systemK, seen by a motionless observer inK, during the interval Δt, and the expression for the work done in the proper reference systemK°, during the corresponding interval of time Δt°. This relationship depends on the angle between the relative speed of the two reference systems and the displacement inK° of the forces at work.

Ci si propone di valutare il lavoro Δτ compiuto dalle forze di pressione in un fluido durante una compressione reversibile. Si tenta di trovare la relazione esistente fra l’espressione del lavoro compiuto in un sistema di riferimentoK, visto da un osservatore immobile inK, nell’intervallo Δt, e l’espressione per il lavoro compiuto nel sistema di riferimento proprioK° durante l’intervallo di tempo corrispondente Δt°. Questa relazione dipende dall’angolo fra le velocitá relative dei due sistemi di riferimento e lo spostamento inK° delle forze agenti.
