Summary
An earlier paper on forces in time-varying space-times left certain open questions regarding the choice of frame in which the force is defined and the uniqueness of the force expression with the procedure used. Since this formalism provides a closed-form expression for the momentum imparted to test particles by cylindrical waves (whose lowest-order approximations coincide with the standard expressions), it is worthwhile to pursue the formalism further. In this paper we address these open questions.
