Summary
By reference to some previously proven equivalences, a discussion is given of the bound-state conditions (relations determining the mass and coupling constant of a composite particle) derived by the bootstrap method. No Lagrangian field theory is found in whichZ 1=0 is a condition, but an alternative to it is presented.
