Summary
A selection rule is formulated, which forbids the decay into two pseudoscalar mesons of all members of a unitary multiplet containing a neutral boson which is odd underCP. It is applied to the classification of resonances like thex and B which decay into pseudoscalar vector mesons. An additional rule forbids the decay into two pseudoscalar mesons of all members of a tenfold multiplet which has even parity.
