An experimental investigation on lepton number conservation in double-beta processes

  • Published:
Lettere al Nuovo Cimento (1971-1985)

Summary

Preliminary results are reported of an experimental search on doublenegatron decay, electron capture plus positron emission and double-electron capture to ground and excited levels of various nuclei. No evidence has been found for any type of neutrinoless process, and upper limits ranging from 10−2 to 10−4 have been obtained on the fraction of right-handed currents.
