Search for correlations between giant radio-pulses and 1011 eV gamma-rays from NP 0532

Summary

Ten hours of simultaneous observations of NP 0532 at radio frequency 146 MHz and gamma-ray energy 1011 eV have revealed no coincidence events between 3000 giant radio-pulses and gamma-ray-produced air showers. The results are consistent with the pulse stability reported at optical frequencies.

Dieci ore di osservazioni simultanee di NP 0532 alla radiofrequenza di 146 MHz ed all’energia dei raggi γ di 1011 eV non hanno rivelato alcun evento in coincidenza fra 300 impulsi radio giganti e gli sciami dell’aria prodotti da raggi γ. I risultati concordano con la stabilità degli impulsi osservati a frequenze ottiche.
