Summary
We present results of the first double-beam photoemission (DBP) experiment, in which electron energy distributions result from the interaction of two monochromatic beams within a solid. Data obtained on Te\((10\bar 10)\) indicate that DBP spectra can be described by two-step optical processes within the bulk band structure of the solid. Information is, in particular, obtained on conduction states lying at energy levels below vacuum level.
