Investigation on the domain-domain interactions by the propagation of magnetization changes

Summary

We have developed a simple model for the interaction among domains during the magnetization processes in polycrystalline soft materials. This model is based on the experimental results obtained by studying the propagation of reversible or irreversible magnetization changes along ferromagnetic wires or ferrite rods. By assuming that the coupled domains form long chains or «magnetic threads», in order to reduce the free poles at grain boundaries, we arrive at an equation, for the spreading of weak magnetization changes, similar to a diffusion equation. By this model we evaluate a mean interaction field among domains which is directly proportional to the saturation magnetization and inversely proportional to the grain size.

Si è sviluppato un modello semplice per le interazioni tra domini durante i processi di magnetizzazione nei materiali magnetici dolci, policristallini. Questo modello si basa sui risultati sperimentali ottenuti dallo studio della propagazione di deboli variazioni di magnetizzazione, reversibili o irreversibili, lungo fili ferromagnetici o sbarrette di ferrite. Partendo dall’ipotesi che i domini aventi la medesima orientazione si accoppino così da formare lunghe catene o «filetti magnetici» si arriva ad un’equazione per la propagazione delle variazioni di magnetizzazione simile ad un’equazione di diffusione. Si trova anche che il campo magnetico medio d’interazione è direttamente proporzionale alla magnetizzazione di saturazione e inversamente proporzionale alla grandezza media dei cristalli.

Мы предлагаем простую модель взаимодействия между доменами в течение процессов намагничивания в мягких поликристаллических материалах. Эта модель основана на экспериментальных результатах, полученных при исследовании распространения обратимого или необратимого намагничивания вдоль ферромагнитных проводов или ферритовых стержней. Предполатая, что связанные домены образуют длинные цепочки или «магнитные нити», чтобы уменьшить число свободных полюсов на границах зерен, мы приходим к уравнению, описывающему распространение слабого намагничивания, которое аналогично уравнению диффузии. С помощью этой модели мы оцениваем среднее поле взаимодействия между доменами, которое прямо пропорционально намагничиванию насьщения и обратно пропорционально резмеру зерен.
