TheK-matrix, absorption corrections and Regge poles

Summary

By suitably defining theK-matrix with only the two-particle cuts removed, we investigate its cut structure at high energy and show that it is not unreasonable to approximate this amplitude by single Reggepole exchange. It is also shown that the integral equation relating thisK-matrix to the fullT-matrix can be solved approximately at high energies giving a modified form of the absorption model. Thus we find a theoretical framework in which it is reasonable to apply absorptionlike corrections to a Regge-pole exchange amplitude.

Definendo opportunamente la matriceK togliendo solo i tagli di due particelle, si studia la sua struttura di taglio e si dimostra che non è irragionevole approssimare questa ampiezza con un solo scambio di poli di Regge. Si dimostra anche che l'equazione integrale che mette in relazione questa matriceK con la matriceT completa può essere risolta approssimativamente alle alte energie ottenendo una forma modificata del modello di assorbimento. Cosi si trova uno schema teorico in cui è ragionevole applicare correzioni del tipo di assorbimento ad un'ampiezza di scambio di poli di Regge.

Посредством соответствующего определенияK-матрицы, в которой удалены только двух-частичные разрезы, мы исследуем структуру ее разрезов при высоких энергиях и показываем, что не является неразумным аппроксимировать эту амплитуду посредством отдельного Редже-полюсного обмена. Также показывается, что интегральное уравнение, связывающее этуK-матрицу с полнойT-матрицей, может быть решено приближенно при высоких энергиях, образуя модифицированную форму абсорбцинной модели.
