Observation of free fluorine μ-nucleonic atom

Summary

The existence of the free μ-nucleonic atom has been experimentally shown by measuring the Larmor precession frequencies of the total moment for an atom in magnetic-field intensities 1.1 and 2.1 G. The precession frequencies have been obtained when negative muons stopped and decayed in Ne gas at a pressure of 42 atm.

L'esistenza dell'atomo libero μ-nucleonico è stata dimostrata sperimentalmente misurando le frequenze della precessione di Larmor del momento totale per un atomo in intensità di 1.1 e 2.1 G del campo magnetico. Le frequenze di precessione sono state ottenute quando i muoni negativi si fermavano e decadevano nel Ne gassoso ad una pressione di 42 atm.

Существование свободного мюнуклонного атома фтора было обнаружено экспериментально при измерении частоты ларморовой прецессии полного момента атома в магнитных полях 1.1 гс и 2.1 гс.
