Summary
The electrostatic accelerator of the Physics Institute of the University of Milan is here described. This instrument was designed to be used as a 14 MeV neutron source by means of the reaction 21 D+ 31 T= 42 α+17.587 MeV. A total flux of 5·109 neutrons/s can be obtained, with the accelerating potential of 150 kV.
