Direct determination of eta-zero branching ratios

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

Decay branching ratios of the η0-meson into 2γ, 3π0, π0γγ, π+ππ0, π+πγ are presented. Neutral and charged modes are detected in the same apparatus. Eta triggers are indipendent of the decay mode, being obtained from the neutron time of flight. The distribution of eta decays among the various possible branches is derived from multiplicities of charged particles and gamma-rays observed in a double spark-chamber array.
